- Meet with maintenance personnel to go over the details of all vehicles to be surveyed
- Evaluate the DC voltage, constant and switched, that will be used to power the equipment being installed.
- Indicate with drawings and pictures the best point to connect to and the optimum point to strain relief the wiring.
- Identify the best connection method.
- Identify all discrete connection points, best cable routing, and connection method.
- Determine the optimal location for all antennas and Coax routing.
- Determine the optimal location for mounting components.
- Determine the best mounting method and hardware.
- Evaluate existing components on the vehicle that will be interfaced to such as Cell Modems, Cad/Avl Systems
- Create an installation document with all information and pictures.
